Plot Summary: Eddie Adams, a young man working in a night club, is discovered by porn director Jack Horner, who soon puts Eddie, renamed Dirk Diggler, and his "talent" on the top of the porn industry. But when the 80s arrive, Dirk and his colleagues in the porn industry have to cope with a new era, as well as the baggage they bring with them from the 70s. Comments: A masterpiece. One of the greatest portrayals of the American dream and its falsehoods. A shockingly accurate depiction of Suburban life and the inferiority felt by many adolescents. Watching this film brings more tears to my eyes than that movie "Beaches" because I really could feel for Eddie Adams. Many people attacked this movie without giving it a chance because they felt that it was a porn movie, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This could have been a movie about training lemurs and still would have been great if PT Anderson had given it the same message. The shot of Dirk's gift was a brilliant touch that many directors wouldn't have the gonads or the vision to add to the film. I give it 10/10 Cast overview: Luis Guzmán .... Maurice T.
