Plot
Summary: The film centers on a big Polish
family. Jadzia is the mother and the ruler of the
Pzoniak family (she has five children). Though she's
happily married to Bolek, she is also having a long-time
affair with Roman. Her young daughter Chala is having
an affair with neighbour cop Russell and becomes pregnant
by him. Russell is pressed hard to marry Chala.
Comments:
This
is a vibrant, life-loving, funny film--and if it offended
some people, so the better. The family in the film
are strange birds and provide entertainment for nosy,
judgmental neighbors, so I'm sure they'd understand.
And at last, an attractive older woman (Olin) who
has an affair! Great cinematography, great cast. This
is one of those films you either "get" or
you don't.
