Plot
Summary: On a recent night, in Weehawken,
New Jersey, four couples of differing backgrounds
bring eight very different sets of hopes and aspirations
to the dinner table of a neighborhood party. When
Rick invites Arnita, a fortune-teller, to the house
for entertainment, everything is thrown into disarray
with the prediction that "one couple will be
finished by the end of the year." The foundations
of each of the couple's relationships are shaken and
their futures called into question. Initially dismissing
the prediction as the word of an eccentric, the characters,
one by one, find themselves drawn into personal journeys
in search of their destinies.
Comments:
Great story and stunning performances! This
film is a credit to writer/director Linda Yellen's
hard work. The story was unique and heartwarming and
the performances were great! Tyne Daly's character
was so great and unexpected, Redgrave was unbelievable,
as always, and who knew Cindy Crawford and Harry Connick
were such great actors. I would recommend this movie
to anyone!
